Protection and Advocacy for Assistive Technology

                                                                                                                                                                  
The purpose of this program is to assist in the acquisition, utilization, or maintenance of assistive technology devices or assistive technology services for individuals with disabilities.

PAAT serves people with disabilities who are eligible for funding of assistive technology devices and services through the Rehabilitation Act, Medicaid, Medicare, Special Education, or private insurers or other possible sources of payment.
 

PAAT provides the following services:

   
  Information and Referral

Advocacy, including informal, administrative and legal remedies to obtain assistive technology for people with disabilities.
 
PAAT is authorized in:
 
  Assistive Technology Act of 1998, as amended, Sec. 5; Public Law 108-364; 29 U.S.C. 3004.
 

PAAT is administered and regulated by:
